The Senior Programs Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation and execution of our programs targeted at low-income senior citizens and the education of its community partners on the problems of hunger in their communities and on how to develop a locally hosted hunger relief agency in their community.

Summary of Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent related experience.  Degree in social science field preferred.
  • 2 years experience in nonprofit program management or direct program services a plus.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong analytical and process-focused skills
  • Technologically proficient.  Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn new software systems.  Specific knowledge of client databases & inventory software a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to compassionately work with diverse people.

Working Conditions

  • This position works in an office environment but also requires travel approximately 50% of the time to various outdoor distribution locations.
  • This position requires some physical activity such as bending, twisting, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
