Director of Operations
Joey Morris started his career in “food banking” at the East Texas Food Bank while finishing his education in 1994. He has held numerous positions, including interim Executive Director, before becoming the Director of Operations. Joey continues to enjoy the challenges of working towards a hunger free community in East Texas and his passion for helping people goes beyond food banking. He has been an avid community leader and volunteer for over ten years, and has served numerous non-profit organizations including the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce. Joey received national recognition including his Senatorship, #64462, from Junior Chamber International. Joey received his Associate’s degree from Tyler Junior College in 1995, and his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1997.
Kevin Shipp joined the East Texas Food Bank in March of 1996 and is in charge of the East Texas Food Bank warehouse. He has extensive knowledge of the food banks daily operations and inventory management software. Since at the East Texas Food Bank, his responsibilities have grown from pulling and delivering agency orders to managing all aspects of the food banks’ daily operations. Kevin is a graduate from Chapel Hill High School.
Paul Younger joined the East Texas Food Bank in October 2008, after working for Teen Mania Ministries for 2 years. During that time he traveled the country as a tour bus driver for Christian youth conferences. At the Food Bank he has served many roles including Inventory Systems Specialist but has transitioned this year into the role of Logistics Coordinator. He enjoys working at a place where he knows he is making a difference..
