Ozarka and Brookshire Brothers contribute during 'Hunger Action Month'
Hunger Action Month is a campaign with Feeding America and food banks across the nation to raise awareness about hunger. Ozarka and Brookshire Brothers have made significant contributions to the East Texas Food Bank in support of Hunger Action Month.
Ozarka donated an entire truckload of bottled water which will "be on stock here at the East Texas Food Bank for disaster relief," according to executive director Dennis Cullinane. Brookshire Brothers grocery store locations are having a food drive where "shoppers can have a hands on opportunity to help feed the hungry by purchasing pre-made $7 and $12 bags of groceries," according to Emily Watts of Brookshire Brothers. "This will make them feel like they have had a real impact on helping their neighbors."
