"Go Orange" on Thursday, Sept. 4th

September is national Hunger Action Month so the East Texas Food Bank is asking everyone to wear orange on Thursday, September 4th in an effort to raise awareness of the over 456,000 East Texans who struggle with hunger.  We want you to wear something orange and invite all your friends, family and co-workers to do the same.  Post your photos on your Facebook page and tag the East Texas Food Bank!  You can also show your support on Facebook and Twitter by changing your profiles orange for the month.

September is Hunger Action Month

HamLogoHunger Action Month is a nationwide campaign to mobilize the public to take action on the issue of hunger.  Organized by Feeding America, the campaign brings greater attention to the issue of hunger in America and promotes ways for individuals to get involved with the movement to solve it.
In East Texas, over 252,000 East Texans are food insecure.  That's 1 in 4 children and 1 in 5 adults who don't know where their next meal is coming from.
Be sure to bookmark this page and visit throughout the month to see how you can get involved and Take Action Against Hunger.
