By The Numbers

  • 22,400,000 - Meals provided to hungry East Texans in FY2017.
  • 6th - Texas ranks seventh in child food insecurity, according to the Feeding America.
  • 26 - Number of counties in East Texas, over 20,000 square miles and 200 nonprofits, we partner with.
  • 473,000 - East Texans who are "at-risk of hunger", according to the American Communities Survey.
    • 1 in 4 - East Texas children are food insecure.
    • 1 in 5 - East Texas adults are food insecure.
  • 252,900 - Number of clients served by the East Texas Food Bank and our over 200 partner agencies yearly, according to the 2014 Hunger in America study.
  • 64,700 - Number of children served yearly, according to the 2014 Hunger in America study.

  • In the 2014 Hunger in America study, East Texans shared about the difficult choices they are having to make:
