34th Annual Tyler ISD Pantry Raid
Tyler ISD students raised over 117,000 meals in the 2024 Tyler ISD Pantry Raid.
Tyler High and Tyler Legacy worked together again this year before their big football rivalry on Friday, September 6th to raise meals for hungry East Texans as part of the 34th Annual Pantry Raid.
The East Texas Food Bank and the Tyler ISD host the annual event. Since the pantry raid began in 1991, students have raised more than 1.9 million meals for families and children served by the food bank!
In 2024 students raised 117,243 meals, including over $21,700 in monetary donations and 10,222 pounds of nonperishable food items.
Monetary donations will support ETFB’s programs that serve Tyler ISD students, such as the BackPack Program. More than 13,000 East Texas children receive BackPacks every weekend filled with nutritious, kid-friendly food to help last them until Monday morning.
Results of this year’s Pantry Raid were announced during halftime on Friday, September 6th.
