(Tyler, TX) — Tyler City Employees Credit Union (TCECU) today announced it has been selected as one of Elan’s 50 credit union credit card partners to participate in Elan’s Across the Country Charitable Giving program. As one of 50 randomly selected partners, TCECU was able to choose East Texas Food Bank to receive a generous $12,500 donation on our behalf.

Selecting an organization that directly benefited the families within the city of Tyler and surrounding communities was important to us, and the East Texas Food Bank is a wonderful, established organization to help distribute these funds to help alleviate food insecurity.” stated, Mari Ann Morgan, CEO of Tyler City Employees Credit Union.

“The donation from Tyler City Employees Credit Union and Elan will support the East Texas Food Bank’s Fresh Produce Program, which provides a reliable source of fresh fruits and vegetables for low-income East Texas families.  We distribute fresh produce through our network of partner agencies throughout 26 counties, including Smith County, and the city of Tyler.  The $12,500 gift will provide approximately 96,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to our community and we are deeply grateful,” stated Dennis Cullinane, CEO of East Texas Food Bank.
